The Transporter: Refuelled (2015) - Film Review

Review:

*Originally written December 15th, 2015*

"Garbage Reboot"

I don't think many people even cared about the prospect of a Transporter 4 when they thought Jason Statham would be returning, I guess they must have cared even less when he didn't and was replaced with someone with nowhere near the screen presence he has.

This reboot/sequel brings our Transporter on another job that doesn't go quite to plan as he hoped, involving 3 women trying to get revenge of some mob boss and for some reason his father helps out.

It's garbage, I really have no idea how this didn't go straight to video. It looks cheap and ugly, the action is poorly shot for the most part and the performances are terrible.

I know Jason Statham isn't the best actor in the world, but he made the first Transporter (2 and 3 are garbage) fun, Ed Skrein on the other hand is just a charisma vacuum, boring and forgettable. can't believe this guy left Game of Thrones for this. Ray Stevenson on the other hand seems to be having more fun with his role, he seemed to just enjoy hanging around with hot women for the most part.

I don't have anything else to add, The Transporter Refueled is a forgettable, boring, cheap and lazy reboot of a series that should have ended when its lead star left.

2/10 Dans

The Transporter: Refueled is out now on Blu-ray and DVD in the UK
